Shelby Materials is excited to announce its upgraded ready mix concrete plant in Franklin, Indiana. The new plant is located at 1961 N. Graham Road, just one mile from their former location on Arvin Drive.
Improving on our many locations
This new plant will join Shelby’s 11 other locations throughout Central Indiana in Shelbyville, Beech Grove, Pendleton, Westfield, Brownsburg, Columbus, Seymour, Nashville, Rushville and Edinburgh. Shelby Materials has been serving Central Indiana for 70 years as of this fall, with a tenure of more than three decades in Johnson County. When it comes to ready mix concrete and aggregate materials, Shelby knows that proximity to your construction sites is of the utmost importance.
Keeping our location in Franklin
“We are excited to build our new plant and keep our location in Franklin,” said Shelby Materials President, Matt Haehl. “Franklin has been home to Shelby Materials for over 30 years and we are proud to be part of the growth in this community. We look forward to continuing our community involvement and maintaining our commitment to providing high-quality ready mix concrete to Johnson County and the surrounding area.”
Technology at the Franklin plant
The new Franklin plant will utilize state-of-the-art dual batch operations with a horizontal central mix and dry batch capabilities and a highly controlled unique reclaim process. This location also features an energy-saving 7.2 million BTU instant water heater for heating aggregates. The instant 180-degree water coupled with heated sand makes Shelby Materials the go-to choice for winter concrete for many Central Indiana contractors.
